About the Artist…
“My love or obsession really, began with gemstones from a very early age. For as long as I can remember I was fascinated by stones of any kind, especially amethyst. In each I saw another world or a masterpiece created by the earth. I suppose I wanted to become a part of that magic.
Andrea Sepulveda, artist, silversmith and permanent jewelry welder, is a San Antonio native with a lifelong art practice exploring mediums such as sculpture, painting, photography and embroidery. As a graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Management and Design Andrea cemented her love of bodily adornment. For the 2011 Fiesta Fashion Show, Andrea created an outerwear collection and handcrafted 7 unique jackets & coats that stood alone as complete outfits accessorized with her handcrafted jewelry and resin buttons. After being awarded 1st place in Design, 2nd in Construction and Best in Show, Andrea went on to work for Niche Clothing Co. as their assistant designer for 7+ years.
Over the years the art form of jewelry beckoned louder and more frequently. Love Art Style grew from a side project to a full time pursuit. Continually exploring new techniques and materials Andrea creates an ever evolving collection of one of a kind and everyday staple pieces. Her work is influenced by nature, Art Deco, the esoteric and the gemstones themselves.
